BW Success
The BI team of ERP Logic has successfully implemented SAP BI (NW 2004) / BW 3.5 and EP 6.0 SP9 to meet some of the critical and essential reporting requirements of Elmer's Products. Some of the important tasks involved are; Requirements gathering, Gap Analysis, Blue Printing, Data Modeling, Development, Testing, Cut over to Production, Power User and End user training, Post-production support etc.
Management Reporting :
In order to provide an easy and user friendly reports access to middle and top management, an integrated and single point reporting solution has been successfully implemented by effectively utilizing various features of BI – Knowledge Management – Enterprise portal, such as BEx - Web Application Designer, Information Broadcasting, Reporting Agent, and Single Sign-on. The effort has replaced some of the Adhoc reporting, third party reporting interfaces, some of ABAP reports in R/3 system etc.
Sales Reporting :
A consolidated and integrated Sales Analysis Reporting has been implemented based on SAP provided business content extractors for Sales, Billing. These extractors were enhanced suitably to suit specific business requirements of Elmer's Products. Generic Extractors were also used to meet certain specific business requirements. A number of daily, monthly, quarterly sales queries / work books have been developed to meet extensive needs of Sales and Marketing teams. In the process some of the traditional R/3 ABAP reports, COGNOS based Sales Reporting System, adhoc reports based on EXCEL, ACCESS have been replaced to provide a consistent Sales data for carrying out effective analysis.
Profitability Analysis Reporting :
A detailed and an extensive review of the existing COGNOS based Profitability reporting and other related third party reporting interfaces, was carried out before providing a complete SAP-COPA based BI solution to provide Profitability Analysis reporting. Necessary enhancements to R/3-COPA were engineered to provide the necessary data to BI. Necessary generic extractors were implemented to provide the necessary link to “Trade Spending” interface in R/3.
Transportation Reporting :
Transportation reporting has been implemented based on SAP provided business content extractors for Shipping, Shipment Costs. These extractors were enhanced suitably to suit specific business requirements of Elmer's Products. Generic Extractors were also used to meet certain specific business requirements such as capturing of actual transportation costs. |
